How to Manage Frizzy Hair on Rainy, Humid Days

Hair swelling and flicking up in the rainy season? Reduce what humidity does through drying, moisturising products, heat tools and curl management.

When air humidity rises, hair tends to absorb environmental moisture, and irregular curls, dryness and damaged areas may become more obvious. If you want to improve frizzy hair on rainy days, you should first distinguish whether it is natural curls or damage caused.

Frizz in humid weather needs to be improved by blow-drying and hair condition

Be sure to blow dry completely before going out

If you go outside while the roots or inner layers of your hair are still damp, your lines are more susceptible to environmental influences. First use a towel to gently absorb water, and then blow dry according to the hair flow; the wind direction is from top to bottom, which helps to reduce the messy appearance of the surface.

The more skin care products, the better

Depending on your hair type, apply a small amount of No-Rinse Conditioner to mid-lengths and ends, spreading evenly and adding more as needed. Applying too much at once may flatten thin hair without actually improving the inner blowout.

High temperature clamping can only temporarily change the line

Repeatedly raising the temperature when the humidity is high may increase drying and breakage. Make sure your hair is dry and heat-protected before using hot tools, and don't repeat the same area more than once.

When is the appropriate time to discuss professional services?

If the natural curls has obviously affected daily grooming, you can first evaluate the direction of cutting, care or shrinkage correction. It is recommended to read the Natural curl finishing guide and provide past dyeing and perming records.

Changes caused by moisture vary depending on hair type, degree of damage and how it is styled.
